Full album release schedule for July 2025 includes several gems

Winners (and some losers)

Spoiler alert: July isn't going to bring the same kind of depth of quality of new album releases that May and June did because the month can't. Records are now released on Fridays, and the first Friday is a holiday. There is only one release that day.

There are several long-time favorites putting out albums in July. Most are new, but one is a remix of older (and great) stuff. While there are a few newer groups involved, this month will be more for the knowns than the unknowns.

That doesn't mean it's not going to be a fun month, because it will be. July will just be a bit more laid back, preparing you for the late summer. Expect some beauty.

Full album release for July 2025

July 4

  • Kesha - (PERIOD)

There weren't ever going to be many scheduled releases on July 4 because of the holiday. You already have your cookout planned, so why take the time to add some new music to the event? You might not want to add Kesha's latest anyway. After her 2010 debut, Animal, every release thereafter has sold less than the previous one.

July 11

  • Allo Darlin' - Bright Nights
  • Barry Can't Swim - Loner
  • Burna Boy - No Sign Of Weakness
  • Clipse - Let God Sort Em Out
  • Gina Birch - Trouble
  • Gwenno - Utopia
  • Kokoroko - Tuff Times Never Last
  • Mark Stewart - The Fateful Symmetry
  • MF Tomlinson - Die To Wake Up From A Dream
  • Noah Cyrus - I WANT MY LOVED ONES TO GO WITH ME
  • Ólafur Arnalds - A Dawning
  • Wet Leg - moisturizer

What a fantastically interesting week of music. Burna Boy's newest is going to be good, because his always are. Wet Leg's sophomore effort has already produced a number of singles, and each is excellent. That implies the entire record will be.

July 18

  • Alex G - Headlights
  • Billie Marten - Dog Eared
  • Bush - I Beat Loneliness
  • Daron Malakian And Scars On Broadway - Addicted To The Violence
  • FLETCHER - Would You Still Love Me If You Knew Me?
  • Forth Wanderers - The Longer This Goes On
  • Jade Bird - Who Wants To Talk About Love
  • Joe Bonamassa - Breakthrough
  • Laura Jane Grace - Adventure Club
  • Lord Huron - The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1
  • Styx - Circling From Above
  • We Are Scientists - Qualifying Mile

The name of Bush's newest record seems sad. I am happy for them, of course, but the title is so simple that one might wonder if it is the truth. Also, Styx?

July 25

  • Alice Cooper - The Revenge Of Alice Cooper
  • Indigo De Souza - Precipice
  • Irvine Welsh And The Sci-Fi Soul Orchestra - Men In Love
  • Madonna - Veronica Electronica
  • Michael Clifford - Sidequest
  • Night Moves - Double Life
  • Patty Griffin - Crown Of Roses
  • Paul Weller - Find El Dorado
  • Post Animal - IRON
  • The Band Camino - NeverAlways
  • The Dirty Nil - The Lash
  • Tyler Childers - Snipe Hunter
  • Zac Farro - Operator

Irvine Welsh, the author of books such as Trainspotting, is releasing his debut album, but who knows what it will sound like? The title is funny and intriguing, though.

Paul Weller and Patty Griffin bring veteran quality, so those should be winners. Madonna's isn't new necessarily, but it's a bunch of remixes.
