There are some days when one just needs a bit of silliness in their life. Things we do not need to think about, but just enjoy. Maybe we do not laugh enough, and then we find something surprising that makes us chuckle. A great example of that is a clip from last week from The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with guest Jon Hamm.

Plus, if you feel strongly about the band Creed and vocalist Scott Stapp then you will be highly interested in the video. That does not even depend on whether you like Stapp and Creed or not. If you do not, you might find the clip more humorous. If you love Creed, you might find what Hamm and Fallon do as more of an homage.

Fallon and Hamm know each other well. The Mad Men star has been on The Tonight Show 12 times since Fallon has been host. The two have also been on the bill at other events including being involved while Tina Fey was being honored with the Mark Twain Prize.

Jon Hamm and Jimmy Fallon make Creed's "With Arms Wide Open" a bearable listen

The Hamm and Fallon video begins with the two chatting on The Tonight Show stage and Fallon reminding Hamm that they had both been in Creed in the past. The clip of Creed's "With Arms Wide Open" begins with Hamm in a yellow shirt and long hair singing the words to the song. Fallon then appears in the same manner so there are two different Scott Stapp characters in the clip.

By the end of the video, Fallon and Hamm are standing face-to-face signing but also pulling random snacks out of each other's shirts. That part is a bit weird, but it also fits with the vibe of the video. The humor partly comes from the strangeness.

Of course, Creed's original video of the song is weird, too. Stapp stands with his arms open, of course, but there are also meteors falling at times and a medieval tower. If that doesn't make sense to you then that is probably a good thing. Maybe it's not supposed to. At least, the Hamm and Fallon clip is quite funny.
