Modest Mouse is almost fully back for the first time since 2021. That was the year of the band's most recent album release, The Golden Casket. In 2026, fans will get a new record titled An Eraser and a Maze. That will be followed by a bunch of shows in the fall following a slew of concerts the group is doing over the summer.

The new album will drop on June 5 and was produced by Modest Mouse frontman Isaac Brock with the help of friends, such as Jackknife Lee and Suzy Shinn. The band began working on the album soon after the release of their 2021 record, but chose not to release EPs of six songs or so, and instead built a full album.

The first single from the new album was released in March and called "Look How Far..." That tune was upbeat and very much in the Modest Mouse mold. To go along with the announcement of the new record's release date, the band delivered a second single, "Picking Dragon's Pocket."

The track is also upbeat, and Bruce is in fine form. If you are a longtime fan of the band, you should be excited about the new album.

As for the new tour dates, those begin in full in mid-September and run through late-October. Two July dates were added in Seattle, too.
