We cannot wait!

If you are looking for a massively popular musical artist to drop an album in February, you are out of luck. Instead, you will be stuck with a lot of great music that few people know. In other words, the real stuff, and it's going to be good.

For fans of the ilk of Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish, you might have to wait for the spring. Warmer temps in the Northern Hemisphere mean more potentially popular albums. But if you love music (and we know you do), you can ignore that.

Instead, February is filled with artists who do not care if they win awards. They know they work hard on their art, and the music is worth it. We might still be listening to some of these albums in 20 years.

Full listing of new albums coming in February 2025

February 7, the first week of new releases after the Grammy Awards, might be the greatest week of new releases in 2025. The reason is that there are no musical artists trying to do a money grab as a follow-up to the Grammys. Each band has a bit of an acquired taste, and we should all do the acquiring.

February 14

Alessia Cara - Love & Hyperbole
Art d'Ecco - Serene Demon
Bartees Strange - Horror
Doves - Constellations For The Lonely
Horsegirl - Phonetics On And OnKestrelsBetter Wonder

Rusty Williams - Grand ManThe Lumineers - Automatic
The Velveteers - A Million Knives

What a great month of new releases February will be when the Lumineers are likely one of the best-known groups and even they are a bit underrated. Lacuna Coil's new record might be the best of the week, though. Doves should not be missed, either.

Cici Arthur - Way Through
IDER - Late To The World
Nao - Jupiter
Patterson Hood - Exploding Trees & Airplane Scream
Porridge Radio - The Machine Starts To Sing (EP)

Tate McRae - So Close To What
The Murder Capital - Blindness
The Wombats - Oh! The Ocean

Actor Andrew Scott is featured in Sam Fender's video for his new single, "People Watching." If you wonder why this makes the new album worth buying, just trust us. It does.

February 28

BANKS - Off With Her Head

Andy Bell is part of Erasure. That alone makes his new album worth a listen. Still, the best record of the week might be Panda Bear's. That is solely based on the musical artist's previous work and the excellent name of the new album.
