We are beginning to get to the part of the year where music lovers will see a lot of albums released. The spring and summer should be full of happy-sounding records that we want to play on family vacations. The darkness will not come until the autumn.
Actually, that is not entirely true. The band the Darkness will be putting out an album this month. It will be the group's eighth studio record.
There are also bound to be some bangers in March. Lady Gaga has a new record, and so do Mumford & Sons. Heck, even Jethro Tull appears set to release one. In other words, in March, anything is possible.
Full album release schedule for March
March 7
Alabaster DePlume - A Blade Because A Blade Is Whole
Bob Mould - Here We Go Crazy
Frog Eyes - The Open Up
Hamilton Leithauser - This Side Of The Island
JENNIE - Ruby
Jethro Tull - Curious Ruminant
Kedr Livanskiy - Myrtus Myth
Lady Gaga - MAYHEM
SASAMI - Blood On The Silver Screen
The Wiggles - Wiggle Up, Giddy Up!
Gaga appears to be on the trend where she releases a new album every three or four years. Her latest comes five years after 2020's relatively underperforming Chromatica. The good thing is that with the new record, fans have already shown their love for singles such as "Die with a Smile" as that collaboration with Bruno Mars hit number one.
March 14
Bambara - Birthmarks
Circuit des Yeux - Halo On The Inside
Coheed and Cambria - The Father Of Make Believe
Courting - Lust for Life, Or: ‘How To Thread The Needle And Come Out The Other Side To Tell The Story
Whatever the Weather - Whatever The Weather II
Coheed and Cambria does an interesting thing with their albums. They are almost all part of a sci-fi saga but released out of order. The new record is actually titled Vaxis Act III: The Father of Make Believe. If you get what the band is doing, great, but even if you do not, their brand of progressive metal is pretty unique.
March 21
Benefits - Constant Noise
Brian D'Addario - Till the Morning
Davido - 5ive
Greentea Peng - TELL DEM IT'S SUNNY
Japanese Breakfast - For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women)
Lola Kirke - Trailblazer
Lonnie Holley - Tonky
My Morning Jacket - is
Phil Cook - Appalachia Borealis
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco - I Said I Love You First
The Horrors - Night Life
Young Widows - Power Sucker
Gomez and Benny Blanco are a real couple, but this is the first album together. It hopefully will come off drama-free with a lot of positivity. Otherwise, the record would be quite sad.
March 28
Alison Krauss and Union Station - Arcadia
aya - hexed!
Backxwash - Only Dust Remains
Deafheaven - Lonely People With Power
Destroyer - Dan's Boogie
girlpuppy - Sweetness
Great Grandpa - Patience, Moonbeam

Unknown Mortal Orchestra - IC-02 Bogotá
Yukimi - For You
It has been a minute since Mumford & Sons released a full-length album. Nearly seven years, if fact. The good part appears to be that Rusmere is a return to the sound of their earlier records when they found a large audience. The title track of the album certainly implies that.
