Lady Gaga's potential new album: All we know so far
By Lee Vowell
The last Lady Gaga album was the excellent Chromatica which was released in 2020. But it's not like Gaga has not been busy doing other things than creating new music since the album was released. She has been acting, doing philanthropy work, creating a makeup line, and performing concerts. She always seems like she is doing something even if that something does not include making a new album.
That could be about to change, however. Late last week, Lady Gaga posted on her Instagram Stories a picture of audio waves in what appears to be a track of music. This would imply she has been recording, but what remains to be seen is if she is making a new album or creating a one-off single. Perhaps she is part of a yet-to-be-released soundtrack.
Still, why tease music fans with an audio wave picture if that does not mean that Gaga is working on a new record? To be fair, while we are four years removed from the most recent album, there was also a four-year difference between the album before her latest as well. Joanne was released in 2016. The point is that a new Gaga album is both due and the time difference between the last record and the new one follows the same trend as Gaga's previous albums.
Is Lady Gaga teasing a new album?
Unfortunately, all fans have to go on now is the picture posted on Instagram. There have been no teased snippets of a song and no official announcement about an impending record. Some artists seem to like stringing their fans along by teasing potential songs that never materialize. Lady Gaga has not done that in her career, however, so we shouldn't expect her to start now.
If you don't want to wait to listen to Gaga, you could try to purchase some tickets to her upcoming shows at the Dolby Live Theater at Park MGM just outside Las Vegas, Nevada. She has eight shows scheduled between June 19 and July 6. She is always amazing in concert.
