If you lived through the 1980s, you likely loved the Psychedelic Furs or Living Colour, but you might not have loved both of them. The bands made different kinds of rock.
The Furs were an English post-punk band who found their niche making moody New Wave. Living Colour, led by elite guitarist Vernon Reid, was blues-based heavy rock. Both bands made great music, but how many crossover fans they had might be debated.
No matter, 40 years on, the groups are taking a trip together. The bands will team up on a summer tour that will see them traverse the country beginning in the west, head northeast, and then finish in the south. Oddly, if you are a fan in California, you will need to travel to see the bands.
Psychedelic Furs and Living Colour drop 2026 tour dates
A pre-sale for the run of shows begins on Wednesday, May 6, and the password for it is FURS2026. General public tickets will be made available on Friday, May 8, at 10 am local time. You can visit either band's official website for more information.
The groups have made new albums since the 1980s, though. The Psychedelic Furs' 2020 album, Made of Rain, was quite good. The most recent Living Colour record was 2017's Shade.
