Olivia Rodrigo knows what she is doing. Not only is she creating one brilliant album after another, but she is thinking beyond herself. Earlier in 2026, she created the Daisy Chain Fields festival and worked with some brilliant musical artists to have them involved, too.
The artists involved are female-led and must-see in concert. Riot grrrl movement founders Bikini Kill will appear, for instance, and they alone would be worth a ticket. They will play in the middle of the day on one of the two stages. That goes to show the strength of the lineup.
The Breeders will follow them, and they would be a worthy headliner for the event. Instead, they are likely just happy to be part of an overall group in which none of the performers should be missed.
Schedule for Olivia Rodrigo's festival has been announced
Rodrigo is the true headliner, but that makes sense. Forget the fact that she is at the top of the music world right now and will be the biggest draw for the festival; she is also fantastic live. One who hasn't heard her music might assume she is more of an industry plant than the kind of musician who has proven she deserves a massive following.
That would be a false presumption. Rodrigo has now produced three albums; the latest is the excellent you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, which features such rock icons as the Cure's Robert Smith, and each has arguably been better than the last. She can churn out a pop tune, sure, but at her heart, she is more akin to Bikini Kill than Chappell Roan.
Speaking of which, Roan will also appear at the festival. She will be the penultimate artist to play on the Dandelion Stage, just before Olivia Rodrigo closes the show. The final artist to appear on the Marigold Stage will be Not for Radio (Garbage is their lead-up), but once they are done, everyone can watch Rodrigo.
The Daisy Chain Fields festival will take place at Great Park in Irvine, CA. The event will be held on August 29. Tickets are currently on a waitlist, so there is a chance a music lover can still grab one before the festival takes place.
