At just 24-years-old, PinkPantheress made history with her historic Producer of the Year win at the 2026 BRIT Awards.

PinkPantheress, whose real name is Victoria Walker, started her career making beats on GarageBand when she was just 17. Now, she is being lauded for her viral 2025 mixtape "Fancy That" and the remix album "Fancy Some More?" The latter birthed the TikTok viral hit "Stateside + Zara Larsson."

With this win, PinkPantheress is officially the first woman to ever take home the Producer of the Year at the BRITs. The award has been given out to esteemed producers in the industry since 1977, and has never gone to a female producer.

PinkPantheress makes history

Until now, of course. But it doesn't end there.

Her win also makes her the youngest person to ever bag the Producer of the Year award. Previously, the record was held by Steve Levine, who was 25 years old when he was given the win in 1984.

When discussing her monumental win, PinkPantheress told the press, "As the first woman to win this award, I’m grateful to be recognised. My music production is the thing I’m proudest of, and I’ve worked really hard at it, so I hope this inspires others to pursue their passion.”

Stacey Tang, the chair of the BRIT Awards and co-president at RCA Records at Sony Music UK, also spoke on the young producer's win, praising her artistry and how she has spearheaded a path for women in music. She stated,

"PinkPantheress is both an inventive and instinctive voice in British pop right now," Tang said. "As a producer, she’s precise and playful, building bold, boundary-expanding sounds that travel beyond the UK. She’s quietly reshaping what modern pop can be, and in doing so, opening the door for a new wave of female producers to step forward. Celebrating her at the BRITs is both timely and significant."

PinkPantheress's win has paved the way for other aspiring and emerging female producers - and hopefully we see more awarded in future BRITs ceremonies (and other award shows too).

PinkPantheress other nominations at the 2026 BRITs

PinkPantheress's Produce of the Year win was announced ahead of the BRITs awards, which will officially be held on February 28, 2026, at the Co-op Live Theatre in Manchester.

For this year's awards, the viral sensation is nominated for British Artist of the Year, going head-to-head with acts such as Olivia Dean, Lola Young, JADE, and more. She is also nominated for Best Dance Act, where she is running against Calvin Harris, FKA Twigs, and more.
