Music news: Cardi B, Blink-182 and the Titan submersible fiasco

So because everything is everywhere all at once these days, there is now a connection between the Titan submersible, Cardi B, and Blink-182 and it isn't good. In fact, it gets rather complex and weird on almost all sides of the story. But this is how the world is now, isn't it?

The whole mess started when Brian Szasz, stepson of Hamish Harding, went to a concert. Harding was one of the passengers on the doomed Titan submersible that was sent down to allow its crew a chance to check out the wreckage of the Titanic up close. Szasz, after the news had broken about the Titan being lost, went to see Blink-182 in concert because as he said the following:

" I was sitting here yesterday watching the news for two days straight. I go to a Blink-182 show because I have a ticket. It wasn't like I was having super fun, it wasn't like I was celebrating having a great time. I was just listening to some of my all-time favorite songs just nodding my head and just trying to get off the phone for maybe two hours or so and come right back into the drama. The submarine is stuck at the damn Titanic. There's nothing I can do for the situation at all."

Now, would you or I have probably handled things differently than what Szasz did? I am going to assume so. We probably wouldn't be going to a concert in a parent or step-parent was missing and maybe dead in the ocean somewhere. We might choose to be near the news for any potential information or consoling family members and friends. Or maybe that's just me.

Szasz went on to say, "I'm not, like, rocking out or whatever they're trying to accuse me of doing." Here's the thing, though. No one is accusing Szasz, someone most of the world had never heard of until his stepfather lost his life on the Titan submersible, of anything he isn't actually doing. Szasz went to a concert that he himself posted about and has now deleted.

This seemed to upset concert-going Szasz and he said mean words about Cardi B:

"So you take a complete b***h like Cardi B, has no idea what's going on, her career is in such turmoil she needs clout off other people's suffering... tries to use the situation to exploit. They're not feeling sorry that my mom has to take care of two kids, not really giving a f**k that my stepdad is probably 99 percent chance he's dead. That doesn't matter... Cardi B, f**king grow up, get some class, you're tasteless."

Alright, say what you will about Cardi B, but in this case she didn't have to comment on Szasz and Harding and Blink-182, but she is absolutely 100 percent correct in what she said. And Szasz makes as little sense as him going to a concert shortly after learning about his stepfather who was almost certainly dead or on his way to death.

The person who should have really been giving a flip about Harding being dead is Szasz himself, not Cardi B. It's sad lives were lost, sure. But Brian Szasz seems to have also lost his mind.
