California governor Gavin Newsom has had a pretty successful political career so far, but his power is nowhere near as immense as Taylor Swift. And I mean, really...what human has more power than Taylor? But Newsom said straight-faced last week to TMZ when asked which celebrities might have the biggest impact on the 2024 American presidential election that there is one person in particular that "stands" above all others.

Swift has enough power to raise football ticket prices, give $100,000 bonuses to truck drivers helping with her tour, and create Swift-quakes, so why would heavily influencing a presidential election be any different? Seriously. She encouraged her fans to register to vote and a record number of people did so.

According to Newsom, "What she was able to accomplish in getting young people activated to consider that they have a voice and they should have a voice in the next election, I think it’s profoundly powerful."

Swift hasn't announced a political affiliation - likely to not upset Swifties who don't agree with her political views - but since she is openly in support of LGBTQ rights and is pro-choice, one can assume she leans to the left. This means any weight of her support would go toward the Democrats, of which Newsom is one.

Taylor Swift could decide American presidential election and Drake helps a fan

Meanwhile, on his current tour Drake has been handing out gifts left and, well...right. Most of these gifts have gone to female fans such as giving out Chanel and Hermes bags to singular fans at shows. But at a recent performance in Miami, Drake saw a fan hold up a sign that said, "I spent all my savings buying tickets for me and my ex, but Honestly, Nevermind, it’s really Her Loss."

Drake clearly felt bad for the fan so he decided to award the guy with $50,000 so he could spend an excellent night on the town. The crowd got involved by hurling out insults about the guy's ex-girlfriend, but Drake correctly stepped in and said, "Alright, that’s a little aggressive. You know what? She’s gonna feel real (expletive) up ’cause I’ma give you 50 bands, so you gon’ flex on her tonight. That’s how we doing it tonight, big dog! It’s your night tonight! And I won’t say it how y’all said it, but (expletive) that young lady."

So I am not saying that if you are a Drake fan you hope your partner breaks up with you. But at the same time, if you want to take a chance on maybe getting enough money to pay off your car, then maybe go see one of his shows.
