Taylor Swift has no champagne problems after Travis Kelce's new contract

Taylor Swift has to be happy on Monday partly because her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, is also happy. Sure, Swift has every right to be happy on her own and separate from Kelce, and she should be, if one's mate is made happier by something then the couple should also enjoy the moment, right?

Kelce and his Chiefs worked out an extension on his current contract this week that will keep Kelce in Kansas City through 2027. The deal will also make him the highest-paid tight end in the NFL on a per-year average. For the extra two years, he will make up to a combined $34 million dollars. That is good money and will allow Kelce and Swift to no longer fret about any money they might spend on champagne.

Of course, Kelce's net worth pales in comparison to Swift's. While neither should have to worry about money. Swift has a reported net worth of $1.1 billion while Kelce has to skimp by on just $50 million. That means Kelce's net worth is 5 percent of Swift's which seems insane when someone has $50 million.

Still, Swift and Kelce likely do not sit around comparing each other's net worth. Instead, they are likely going to concerts, restaurants, or sitting at home watching not-concerts and not-football. I wouldn't want to guess at what they do. That's not of my business, of course.

At least Swift knows she will be watching Kelce play football for the Chiefs for the next four years in Kansas City unless Kelce decides to retire before that. He might just say, "The heck with football! I am going to stay at home and support my girlfriend!"

Oddly, of the two, Kelce would be the cougar in that situation. No matter, though. Both have more than enough money to live the rest of their lives in comfort. (Also, if you need to ask someone for lunch money, Taylor Swift or Travis Kelce might be the ones to ask.)
