Taylor Swift, can you just stop it? You are making all the other musical artists likely feel bad. You come across as a nice and genuine person and making other people feel shame is not something that normally happens in relation to you, but after the Grammy nominations were announced on Friday, you might be guilty all the same.
OK, that's enough of me addressing Taylor Swift directly. She is very unlikely to be reading this (although if you are, thanks, Taylor!) so directing my words at her seems, well...a little creepy.
The point is that Taylor Swift set more records during the announcement of the Grammy noms. She already set records for highest-grossing tour earlier this year with her ongoing Eras shows. Then she put out a film of the tour that had the largest opening for any movie like it. There are a bunch of other records she has set recently as well. In fact, too many to name here.
Taylor Swift nominated for some major 2024 Grammy Awards
But specifically relating to the Grammy Awards, Swift got her seventh all-time nomination for Song of the Year. That is, of course, a new mark. The song she was nominated for is "Anti-Hero."
She also tied Barbara Streisand's mark for most all-time nominations by a female artist for Album of the Year. Swift was nominated for her album "Midnights" in the 2024 noms. Taylor Swift was also nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Anti-Hero." She was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her song "Karma" which features Ice Spice.
Jack Antonoff was nominated for Producer of the Year so that is Taylor Swift-related as well. Or so we can assume. Here are the nominees in the big three awards.
