The Kansas City Chiefs most famous fan, Taylor Swift, has every opportunity to attend the team's season opener on Thursday. Kansas City will host the Baltimore Ravens in a rematch of the AFC Championship game from last year. The Chiefs won that game on their way to winning the Super Bowl for the third time in five years.
Swift was able to watch KC play a number of times, including the Super Bowl. Other times, of course, she was too busy doing her day job to make the game. That would be playing gigs on her extensive Eras tour. That tour could affect her making some Chiefs' games this season too.
That will not happen until October 20, however. That would mark the first time that Swift will be playing live somewhere. The Chiefs play the San Francisco 49ers on that date while Swift will be performing in Miami. In fact, Swift will be busy with her tour until November 10 after the October 20 game.
Will Taylor Swift be at the Kansas City Chiefs game in Week 1?
Assuming Swift only shows up at the Chiefs' home game to root vociferously for boyfriend Travis Kelce, she could make the first two games of the season. In Week 2 of the NFL season, Kansas City hosts the Cincinnati Bengals. The Chiefs then travel for two straight games and return home to play the New Orleans Saints on October 7.
So should Swifties expect to see their hero watching from a fan box in Week 1? Taylor Swift has not made an official announcement because that would be weird anyway. She also might be reticent to do so after there was a situation at the Chiefs Super Bowl victory parade in February. Security will be tight enough as it is for fans to know Swift's every move.
Still, the guess is that Swift will be at the game. Some NFL fans will get miffed because cameras pan to her quite a bit, but such is the life of the most famous person on earth. We are all just living in Taylor's world, but at least she seems nice enough to us.
