There are few things in life more entertaining than seeing a musical artist put on a great performance. You might not even know all the songs, but as long as the artist knows how to draw you in, you're a winner.

Of course, loads of tours take place during the summer, but it gets hot and sweaty. Sometimes, you just want to wait until the autumn to see a show. You're in luck with this list.

One begins in the summer heat, but the others will take place in the cooler months (if that is such a thing anymore). You'll want to make sure some of your paycheck goes toward purchasing tickets for these gigs.

You will not want to miss these recently announced tours

Trivium

Trivium has been around forever, even though you might not have heard of them. They are pure metal, and while they don't normally have the same kind of energy as a band like Slipknot does, that isn't their point. The music comes first, and it's good stuff for metalheads.

Even better, they will be joined by Jinjer on their run of dates from October 31 through December 14. Jinjer is a woman-fronted metal group from Ukraine. They are amazing.

B-52s and Devo

We are big fans of this tour at AudioPhix, but mostly because we are all quite old. Still, these bands that began in the late 1970s and earned their wings in the 1980s have catalogs that run much deeper than just the two or three songs you might know. They have each historically put on brilliant shows, too.

Unfortunately, there aren't too many shows they will be doing. Here's the list:

  • Sept. 24 – Toronto, ONT at Budweiser Stage
  • Sept. 25 – Clarkston, MI at Pine Knob Music Theatre
  • Oct. 2 – Mansfield, MA at Xfinity Center
  • Oct. 4 – Holmdel, NJ at PNC Bank Arts Center
  • Oct. 5 – Wantagh, NY at Northwell at Jones Beach Theater
  • Oct. 16 – Mountain View, CA at Shoreline Amphitheatre
  • Oct. 18 – Los Angeles, CA at Hollywood Bowl
  • Oct. 24 – Charlotte, NC at PNC Music Pavilion
  • Oct. 25 – Alpharetta, GA at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre
  • Nov. 1 – Austin, TX at Germania Insurance Amphitheater
  • Nov. 2 – Houston, TX at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion

Entheos

This prog-metal band has been around since the mid-2010s, but is just now beginning to grow into full bloom. Their tour, which runs from October 30 through December 6, will be the band's first headlining tour in North America. They will be supported by Fallujah, the Zenith Passage, and Tracheotomy.

The great part is that even if the tour does not cover many dates, the band will cover a lot of ground, including all regions of the US and stops in Toronto and Montreal, too.

Stevie Nicks

Another musical artist you likely have never heard of. (OK, that's an obvious and poor joke.) Somehow, even though Nicks is now nearly 80 years old, she has maintained a level of coolness that few artists ever dream of reaching. She still does great concerts, too.

Her tour will run from August 8 through November 25. The odd part is that she only has two true West Coast dates scheduled, and one of those is in Sacramento.
