The where and when.

The Strokes are trying to be back in a huge way in 2026. The band will deliver a new album on June 26 called Reality Awaits, and the group will set out on the road beginning in June on a fairly expansive tour.

For many years, the Strokes made music sporadically and never seemed to strive for a long-term connection with fans, at least not directly. The music was mostly great, but the New York alt-rock icons kept up their Q rating by simply becoming famous for being famous.

Now, they have to earn it a bit more. Will their new album rival that of their best work, such as their debut record, Is This It? Probably not, but only because that might be impossible. The concern moving forward is that their latest single, "Going Shopping," isn't overly good.

The Strokes announce a bunch of 2026 tour stops

Still, the band remains quite excellent live, so if you have a chance to see them this year, you should. An artist pre-sale begins on Wednesday, April 15, at 10 am local time (which requires signing up by April 14), and a Live Nation presale starts at 10 am local time on Thursday, April 16. General public tickets will be made available on Friday, April 17, at 10 am.

For more information, one can check out the Strokes' official website. There is a limit of four tickets per buyer.
