If you are watching Taylor Swift's The End of an Era docuseries on Disney+ (and let's be honest, everyone knows you are), you know that each episode has been seemingly better than the last. Still, the wait for each episode to be released feels like years, not days.
But there is good news, Swifties. The final two episodes were not set to arrive until December 26. This meant you had to go forward with opening presents on Christmas Day while having to wait for what you really want: More Swift. Instead, Disney announced the final two episodes will drop on December 23 at 12 am ET.
The next two episodes will go on as scheduled, which is dropping on Friday, December 19, at 3 am ET (12 am on the West Coast). This will leave only a few days in between, with all episodes being released before getting caught up in the festivities of Christmas.

The series has so far been well-received by fans of Taylor Swift as well as critics. It is exceedingly well-filmed, and one truly does feel like they get an insight into the queen of pop, whereas other docuseries have not done quite as good a job.
Instead of feeling like we are watching something we already knew, the Swift series is created as if we are going along for an epic ride while it is happening for Swift, even though the moments are months ago. The intimacy works well, mostly because Swift is open about her frustrations and joys.
A music lover might wonder what comes next. While Swift isn't breaking new ground necessarily by releasing concert films and docuseries, the way she has done so with a hands-on approach, getting every note just right, will likely be followed by other top musical stars.
Who might that be? The issue is that Swift has the kind of pull on a global audience that few others (maybe no other) have. Beyoncé is massively popular, too, of course, but no one matches the crossover appeal of Taylor Swift. Instead of waiting for other musical artists to drop their own docuseries, maybe we just need to wait until Swift releases her next one.
That just means fans need a new tour. The End of an Era is based on Taylor Swift's hugely successful most recent tour. While no plans exist for a new tour now, maybe 2027 will bring better news.
