The 2025 NFL season is underway, and the Kansas City Chiefs will play their first game against the Los Angeles Chargers in a completely different place. Instead of LA or KC, the game will take place in Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, Brazil. The game is part of the NFL's attempt to grow internationally.
Our concern here, however, is whether Taylor Swift will be at the game. She and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce recently announced their engagement, and this would be the couple's first public outing since the announcement. Sort of.
To be fair, Tavis Kelce has a job to do, so he is unlikely to be focusing on hanging out with Taylor Swift even if she is at the game. The Chiefs won't be staying in Brazil for long either, as they have to play another game next week.
What are the chances Taylor Swift will be in Brazil to watch the Kansas City Chiefs?
So will Swift be in São Paulo? The truth is, no one really knows. According to ABC News, "Neither the NFL nor Corinthians, the soccer club that owns the stadium, has confirmed her attendance."
And they shouldn't. Swift certainly draws a crowd wherever she goes. Unfortunately, during her Eras tour stop in Rio, a fan died from heat exhaustion while waiting for the show. Swift understands her presence could have a negative effect in a foreign country.
It certainly wouldn't be surprising to see Taylor Swift at the game. She isn't currently touring, and she also isn't recording an album. We know this because she is set to release her latest record, The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3. She would have the time to watch Kelce in Brazil.
For Swifties to find out for sure if Taylor Swift is at the game, they can tune in at 8 pm ET on Friday, September 5, on NFL+ and YouTube's NFL Sunday Ticket. Both require a subscription normally, but the Sunday Ticket option is extremely expensive. This is especially true if you are using it once to find out if Swift traveled to Brazil.
