The Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni lawsuit is a mess. We are not going to dive too deeply into who did what to whom and who was right or wrong. At this point, people might have their opinions, but the truth is beyond our grasp.

What we do know is that Lively sued Baldoni for alleged sexual harassment and a smear campaign, and that Baldoni countersued. The issues stem from the making of the film It Ends with Us, directed by Baldoni. He also played the lead actor while Lively was the lead actress. The film's soundtrack is excellent, and this is where Taylor Swift becomes involved.

The pop queen's song "My Tears Ricochet " was used in the film. She is also friends with Lively. The question becomes how much, if any, influence Swift had on any of the personal events between Lively and Baldoni or the knowledge of what the atmosphere was like on the set.

Taylor Swift's camp upset about inclusion in Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni lawsuit

Swift's camp is concerned that she was recently subpoenaed to testify about what happened between Lively and Baldoni. Swift's people contend that the only part she played in the making of the film was having a tune involved. If she were not as popular as she is, her camp claims, she would have no part in the lawsuit.

According to Rolling Stone, a spokesperson for Swift said, "Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film...The connection Taylor had to this film was permitting the use of one song...this document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case."

To be fair to all parties, the legal fight between Lively and Baldoni would not seem to need to generate even more public interest. It has been newsworthy for months already and is unlikely to fade anytime soon. The trial for the case is not expected to start until 2026.

One important aspect to note is that Swift might have played some part in helping actress Isabela Ferrer get a role in It Ends with Us. This is according to Ferrer herself.

The actress said on Extra TV last year, "(Swift) was a helpful part of the process of the audition… which rocked my world." In other words, stay tuned for even more drama to come with the lawsuit.
