Before getting into the full story, I want to share why this moment matters. Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has been a global cultural wave, shaping pop music conversations the same way major rap and hip-hop tours shift the culture. Fans have been waiting for the official final show footage, and now that the trailer is finally here, it’s creating massive excitement across the music world.

Another reason to break this down is that Taylor’s visuals, storytelling, and fan connection play a huge role in modern music marketing, similar to the way hip-hop artists build hype through documentaries, trailers, and behind-the-scenes moments. Her new Disney+ release feels like a “worldwide album drop,” and the buzz around it is huge.

Lastly, this release isn’t just another concert film. It’s a complete final-show capture, a brand-new Disney+ special, and the start of a six-part docuseries, meaning Swifties and music lovers have a full lineup of content coming.

Taylor Swift reveals trailer for her final Eras performance

Taylor Swift has officially released the trailer for her upcoming Disney+ exclusive, Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show, which arrives on December 12. The special highlights the grand finale of her massive tour, filmed during the last stop in Vancouver, B.C.

This version of the concert is extra special because it features the full live set of The Tortured Poets Department for the first time. That part of the show was added after the album dropped in April 2024, making it the first complete performance captured on film.

Fans may remember the earlier Eras Tour film that also streamed on Disney+, but this new release includes songs that weren’t part of the original set list, making it a fuller, updated experience.

“We’ve had so long to prepare for the end of this tour, and we get to play one last show for you here tonight,” Swift says in the trailer while performing “Long Live.” She continues, “I want to thank every single one of you for being a part of the most thrilling chapter of my entire life to date.”

The final show comes with a new docuseries

Along with the Disney+ film, Swift is also launching the first two episodes of her six-part docuseries Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era on the same day, December 12.

The series promises an intimate look at her life behind the scenes as the tour took over headlines and dominated global conversations. Guest appearances include Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, and Florence Welch, giving fans a deeper look at friendships and creative moments from the road.

After the first two episodes drop, the remaining episodes will be released in weekly pairs.

Taylor Swift’s new Disney+ projects arrive at a perfect time for fans who want to relive the excitement of the tour. With a full concert film, unreleased performances, and a behind-the-scenes docuseries, December 12 is shaping up to be a major event for pop culture and another huge moment in music storytelling.
