Swifties and, maybe, Kansas City Chiefs fans likely spent the weekend watching fireworks for the Fourth of July, while also reading all they could about the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. The wedding was held as part of a multi-day event in New York City, specifically at Madison Square Garden.
While we know a bunch of the people who attended and that Adam Sandler officiated the wedding, fans are still asking one key question: What did the wedding dress look like? We know that the pop diva wore a Christian Dior haute couture gown designed by Jonathan Anderson.
Heck, CNN even posted on its front page, "Everyone has big Taylor Swift wedding opinions and we haven’t even seen the dress yet."
Where are the gown photos for the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding?
Chiefs fans and music lovers also know that the dress was white with a dash of blue that was provided by a sapphire bracelet that Kelce gave to Swift. But what we haven't yet seen is Swift wearing the dress. People attending likely took photos, but those haven't been released yet.
If anyone wondered whether Kelce and Swift truly did have a lot of close friends (and as many as 1,000 people were anticipated to come to their wedding), the answer is yes. That test has been passed by the fact that no wedding dress photos have yet been made available.
The move makes sense. Once the photos are online, people will run with them in all kinds of ways, from selling knock-offs to people who want to wear what Taylor Swift wore during their own wedding to more untoward things. The interwebs can be a weird place.
Other details are trickling out slowly. People will want to know, of course, though the whole thing can be a little strange. Ultimately, the wedding is supposed to be a private affair between two people who love one another and have their friends come to witness their most important event.
Still, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are media-aware enough to understand that such a huge event for them will be a big event for people who don't know them. Because of this, they have been smart enough to make sure some photos haven't yet been put out publicly. That is how it should be.
