Recently, Taylor Swift let the world know that she had purchased back her original masters from her first six albums. These records were made under her first recording contract with Big Machine Records. In 2019, Big Machine sold Swift's catalog to music executive Scooter Braun, and trouble ensued.

In 2020, Shamrock Capital gained control of Swift's masters, and there has been a stalemate in the pop queen's chances of regaining control over the past masters. That changed when Shamrock Capital and Swift's people agreed for the singer to buy back her own music.

The masters of Swift's first six albums have a reported wealth of about $600 million. This might have changed some after Swift began re-recording the original albums in order to gain control of the masters. No true Swiftie was going to buy one of the originals when they could purchase one of the albums known as Taylor's Versions, as the money would go to their favorite singer.

Travis Kelce and Shaquille O'Neal jam out to some great Taylor Swift news

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has been dating Taylor Swift since 2023. She has shown up after his football games to cheer him on, and he has gone to her concerts. He even appeared with her once on a London stage dressed in a tuxedo. The pair appears to adore one another.

On a recent episode of Kelce's podcast that he does with his brother, Jason, the brothers had NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal on the program. O'Neal was happy to be on the New Heights podcast, but he also could not stop himself from playing Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble" after his introduction.

Shaq also said that the Swift song was his "favorite song in the world." O'Neal and Kelce also lip-synced to the tune. The Chiefs tight end also did a bit of a dance while the song played.

Travis Kelce added, "Shout out to Tay Tay. Just got that song back, too."

Clearly, Kelce was feeling the joy his girlfriend was feeling as well. The happiness with which Swift must have met with the news when she learned of regaining her masters would have been epic to watch. The fun of watching Kelce celebrate made the purchase worth it, too.
