Yungblud certainly has his loyal fans. Even though he appeared to somewhat disappear from the musical world for a bit, he has returned in force since last July's Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath farewell show, Back to the Beginning.

Somewhat surprisingly to many, Yungblud performed at the farewell, doing a cover of Ozzy's "Changes." Perhaps more surprisingly, Yungblud, born Dominic Harrison (that will be important in a minute), was very good at doing an Ozzy song.

Of course, as it turns out, he and the late metal god had a close friendship, and Yungblud was at the show because he was specifically asked to be. That he was also good made the whole bit far more meaningful.

But Yungblud has been struggling mentally recently, too. He broke down in tears at a recent concert in Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic. After which, on his Instagram page, he gave the reason why in a long and thoughtful message to fans everywhere.

He wrote, in part, "Honestly, I’ve been debating whether or not I should post this clip because I don’t want it to feel disingenuous like I’m doing it for a reason like clicks or personal game but at the end of the day this is what happened and it’s genuine so I thought (expletive) it. To be truthful. Recently, I’ve been really struggling and this moment is a byproduct of my body releasing the wave of emotion that has hit me in the past year that I’ve been unable to process."

Two of the commenters on the post were Slayer guitarist Gary Holt and Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian. Both were supportive of Yungblud, which might further impress upon fans that the singer isn't, as some have implied, an industry plant but is respected by his peers.

Holt wrote, "An industry plant cannot do what you did at Back to the Beginning. Genuine and real and convinced a horde of headbangers of this. Not easy to do."

Ian said, "I stood side stage at BTTB and watched you breathe rarified air the way you elevated 'Changes.' You've everned it all, Dom. Cheers, brother." The Dom being a nod to Yungblud's birth name, of course.

Ultimately, whether one believes Yungblud is genuine or not in his breakdown on stage and his message afterwards doesn't completely matter. What matters is that someone in need of mental help might read Yungblud's words and feel some hope that they are not alone. Sometimes, we all need a little help, and there is nothing wrong with that.
