If you missed the American Music Awards in 2025, it’s fine. We can let you know who the winners were. There were some shocks and surprises, but that is how it should be for every awards ceremony, whether it’s the Grammys or the AMAs.
For instance, who knew that Kendrick Lamar would be nominated 10 times but only win once? Who knew that Eminem would win more awards than Lamar? Since the AMAs are fan-vote driven, we were the ones to decide the winner. Would anyone have guessed we liked Eminem more than Lamar?
Billie Eilish won all seven of her categories, including the big three. Taylor Swift didn’t win anything, though she was nominated six times. She also didn’t get to make any special announcements. That’s our loss.

The other huge surprise might have been Wicked: The Soundtrack not taking home the trophy in its category. A TV series you might have never heard of won that one.
While Swift did not win any awards, it did pay to be her friend. Gracie Abrams won for Best New Artist. Where would her career be without Swift? She is a worthy performer, but knowing Swift helps.
