If you plan on going to one of the best music fest in the world every year, you will want to know the who and when of the Austin City Limits Music Festival. The dates are split over two weekends, of course. The first is October 2 through 4, and the second is October 9 through 11. Both are Friday through Sunday.
Then, you might want to know who you are going to see. The headliners will be Charli XCX, Rüfüs Du Sol, Twenty One Pilots, Lorde, and The xx. Skrillex will also help headline weekend 1, while Kings of Leon will help headline weekend 2. The depth of the event might be the reason you go, however.
Among the non-headliners are Geese, Amyl and the Sniffers, Finn Wolfhard, and the Chainsmokers, among many, many others. After all, the event isn't simply going to be about hearing a few songs, but listening to a lot of gems, and having a life-changing experience. That last part happens quite a bit.
Austin City Limits Music Festival: What you need to know
One can buy three-day tickets on the festival's official website, and it advises a person to do so before the price increases. You can even do a layaway plan. A general admission three-day ticket for the first weekend begins at $380. For the second weekend, prices are slightly less, $365.
The Y'all Access passes are already sold out. One would need to plan well ahead for next year and be ready to click when the passes are made available.
The festival is held at Zilker Park in Austin, and, as always, there will be many vendors to check out. You'll also need to book a room, and those will go pretty quickly, too. In other words, as soon as you are done reading this article, you will want to jump on Expedia or some other site and make your purchases.
The odd part about the 2026 festival is that the headliners are overly excellent. All can put on a decent show, but Geese, for instance, could have taken the place of the musically marginal Twenty One Pilots.
The great part is the variety of music one will hear. Country and rock? Sure, but the electronica artists are elite. That includes Rüfüs Du Sol and Skrillex, and probably a bunch of artists you have not yet heard but will. You are definitely in for a good time.
