Britney Spears has had quite the career. She began as a teenager making massive pop hits, and then life got in the way. She disappeared for a while from public view, but not from the public eye. Her fans are devotees to the nth degree, more devoted than many other musical artists' fans.
Spears has also never been afraid to create a bit of controversy, either. She certainly doesn't come across as a bad person, but she definitely delivers some non-family-friendly images on her Instagram page. Britney Spears' dancing is somewhat iconic, but not for a young child's viewing.
Recently, though, Spears dropped some news that many fans won't like, especially American fans. While she will soon perform in Australia and the United Kingdom, she won't be having a show in the United States. Ever. Again. At least, that is what she said in an Instagram post.
Britney Spears' latest comments will not have fans smiling
Will she stick to that? Maybe not. The reasons for not performing in the US were not overly clear, other than she said her reasons for not doing so were "extremely sensitive." Fans of hers might feel as if they know everything there is to know about the singer, so maybe they can figure out her reasons.
Or, maybe (and hopefully), she is simply temporarily upset by something we don't know about and will change her mind. Heck, she might even do so by the time you are done reading this article. It isn't like she is signing some form of contract that bars her from doing another residency in Las Vegas or playing at some festival.
In other words, the educated guess would be that Britney Spears will at some point do a concert in the United States again. Maybe she simply performs with her son, which is what she is doing in the UK and Australia, but at least fans would get to see her.
One thing seems certain, though, and that is Spears will never completely be out of touch with her fans. She will keep posting on IG and offering interesting details of her life. Let's hope she is wrong about not doing a concert in the United States, though.
