You know what you want to do, right? It is the holiday season and you want to tune in to some Christmas streaming channel and hope that Mariah Carey plays. Let's be honest. You have probably been doing this in early November (or July). You haven't wanted to go all-in on a sole Carey station, but you still might.
Here is some great news. Once you are finished opening your gifts (or watching others open theirs) on Christmas morning, and you are prepared to spend the rest of the day watching NFL games on Netflix, you won't have to wait long to get your Carey fix. The streamer announced that the singer will be part of their gameday broadcast. Sort of.
Carey will be performing "All I Want for Christmas is You," but the clip will be one that is pre-recorded. That we know of, Mariah Carey is not going to suddenly pop up on the NFL broadcast breaking down how well Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs is going to do against the Pittsburgh Steelers, for instance. Though if Taylor Swift is watching the game live, the dream is that she and Carey somehow find their way to doing a live duet.
Mariah Carey will be part of NFL Christmas Gameday on Netflix
A music fan can dream.
Carey is not the only musical entertainment on Netflix before or during the games. Beyoncé will be the halftime show for the second game of the day, the Baltimore Ravens versus the Houston Texans. Queen Bey was raised in Houston, of course, so she probably will be very pro-Texans during her performance.
Netflix nor the NFL have announced who might be the halftime performance at the Kansas City Chiefs versus the Pittsburgh Steelers (again, we can all dream that is Taylor Swift if she happens to be at the game to cheer on Kelce), but it makes sense to have a performer. Mariah Carey is part of the pregame broadcast, and Beyoncé is part of the second game of the day. We need someone to play at the Chiefs and Steelers game, too.
The hope here is that it is Slipknot. That would be unlikely, however.
