We are all, including Taylor Swift, just living in Olivia Rodrigo's world at this point. The 23-year-old recently released her latest album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, and will be embarking in September on a long tour that will likely grow her audience even more.
As far as the album, it reached No. 1 on the Billboard album charts, her third record of three to reach such a lofty status. Even better, the latest LP was her best-selling record in its opening week so far. Among the 485,000 units sold were 164,000 vinyl purchases. A huge number for the once-nearly-forgotten format.
The overall number was the best week of 2026 for a solo artist. The vinyl sales were the most for a female artist this year.

But Olivia Rodrigo didn't stop with that bit of good news. She also announced a new musical event, which is the all-female lineup of the Daisy Chain Fields Festival. That will take place on August 29 in Irvine, California.
Among those performing are Rodrigo, Stevie Nicks (of whom Taylor Swift is clearly a fan), Bikini Kill, KATSEYE, Chappell Roan, Garbage, Karen O., Sarah McLachlan, and Mittski, among many others. The pre-sale for the festival, which is likely to continue past 2026, begins on Wednesday, June 24, at 10 am PT (1 pm ET).
