Taylor Swift fans can finally get their own Knicks game look (sort of)

She wore it well.

At Game 4 of the 2026 NBA Finals, Taylor Swift sat courtside with the Haim family wearing a blue shirt with orange lettering (the color of the Knicks) with wording that read, "Stevie Knicks." The entire friend group wore the same kind of shirt, designed by Este and Alana Haim.

And now, assuming you love everything that Swift wears and want something like her clothes of your own, you can buy the shirt. Sort of. The truth is that "Stevie Knicks" was hand-made and not mass-produced, and with no intention of doing the same. It was made in fun for a basketball game.

However, if you visit Etsy or Tee Public, you can purchase the same kind of shirt for $25 or less. What makes the whole deal wonky is that you are simply buying a T-shirt that someone made because Taylor Swift wore it, and not because the maker was commissioned to do so.

Taylor Swift's "Stevie Knicks" shirt can now be yours, but there's a catch

No trademark exists for the clothing, so anyone can make it. That includes you. In fact, you could simply buy a shirt of the same color, take that to your local T-shirt shop, and ask them to make one. All of that can probably be done for less than you would spend on Etsy and Tee Public for the clothing and shipping.

Taylor Swift is so immensely popular that she inspires an entire cottage industry of items, including something she wore to help root for the New York Knicks. People are finding a way to make money off something that was created in jest. That seems somewhat creepy.

Will the music icon inspire more clothing in future NBA Finals games this year? Maybe, though true New York Knicks fans hope not. That is because the team leads the San Antonio Spurs three games to one, and only needs one more game to claim their first title since 1973.

The next game, though, won't be at Madison Square Garden. Instead, the Spurs will host at Frost Bank Center on Saturday, June 13, at 8:30 pm ET. One can assume Swift and many of the other celebrities that were at the game, such as Ben Stiller, Timothee Chalamet, and Jerry Seinfeld, won't be courtside in San Antonio.

The fun could come if the Knicks don't win on Saturday. The series would then return to New York for a Game 6 on Tuesday, June 16, at 8:30 pm ET. One would assume Taylor Swift would be at the contest to accidentally sell more T-shirts.
