NFL fans have gotten used to seeing Taylor Swift cheer on the Kansas City Chiefs. At first, people complained about TV cameras panning in her direction, but then many realized Swift is just a fan like we all are.
Plus, she has more of a vested interest than most people do. Her fiancé, Travis Kelce, is a tight end for the Chiefs after all. We might not all go watch our partners work at their jobs, but sports are different, of course.
Swift did appear at the Kansas City home opener on September 14 (the Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in an early-season Super Bowl rematch from last season), but it makes more sense for her to show up at Chiefs games because the security detail is already aware of what they need to do surrounding her presence.
Will Taylor Swift be at the game when the Kansas City Chiefs play the New York Giants?
In Week 3, though, Kansas City will travel to play the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. While no firm plans are known about whether Taylor Swift will be at the game, we can assume she won't be.
She does have a home in New York, but she is also quite busy currently. She is having to do a lot of press for her upcoming album release, for one. The Life of a Showgirl will be unleashed on October 3.
In other words, is a bit less than two full weeks, Swifties will have new music from their favorite performer. Those same fans are probably buying tickets to a film event featuring interviews with the performer as well as at least one new video. The film will be released in theaters nationwide on the same weekend the album is released.
The Chiefs and Giants game will be on NBC's Sunday Night Football, and surely Taylor Swift will be shown quite a bit. A little more free press for the new album isn't a bad thing, but the singer likely doesn't need it. She's on a completely different level from everyone else.
In all likelihood, the next Kansas City Chiefs game in which Swift will appear to cheer on her favorite team will be on September 28, when KC hosts the Baltimore Ravens at home.
